Job description
We See you! If you are looking for a new challenge where you can create software that is used by millions of people in a high-load, high-performance environment, then this could be the role for you! Do you see yourself as a curious mind who likes to understand how things work, not just how to use them? That's the type of person we want to work with.
We consider ourselves Agile Agnostic; we take the best bits of various methodologies and skip the parts that don't make sense. In your role, you'll be working closely with our product managers and other developers to create new functionalities and improvements for our clients, the event organisers, museums and many others. In this role, you'll be reporting directly to our Backend Team Lead and working in a small self-driving autonomous team. That means you'll have an active say in not only how things are developed but also what gets developed.
Your responsibilities
The opportunity to work on projects within the fast-moving ticketing domain.
Create ticketing software for the Paylogic platform that is used by millions of people in high load, high-performance and highly concurrent environments.
Have a direct impact on the revenue and profits of the company.
Deliver high-quality code, covered by automated tests.
Our tech stack
Python, Flask, FastAPI on the backend.
Angular and TypeScript on the frontend (nice to know but not important for this role).
SQLAlchemy is our ORM of choice for communicating to a MySQL DB.
Pytest along with Selenium and BDD for our testing suite.
Job requirements
At least two years of development experience.
Extensive development background with a focus on Web Applications and Python.
An understanding of design patterns and how to apply them.
You dig into the inner mechanics of software, you should be able to build a framework, not only use one.
High attention to detail for code reviews, reviews of requirements, designs, and technical solution proposals.
You live in, or around the city of Groningen, or willing to commute.
You’re fun to hang out with and like to be as helpful and collaborative as us.
What we have to offer you
All the essentials: reimbursement of travel expenses from 10 km, pension plan with a contribution from us, 24 vacation days, a one-off remote working budget, career opportunities through our career levelling framework and training/coaching sessions.
A committed, versatile and open team in an international organisation.
The hardware of your choice, with which you work most pleasantly.
A one-off home office budget.
The possibility to use our mental health partner, OpenUp.
Hybrid work style, from home and our office in the heart of Groningen.
Monthly internal events and a large company party at least twice a year.
The possibility to visit the events we sell tickets for.
